Frequently asked questions

Short and to the point.

Does the first conversation commit me to anything?

No. The first conversation is free and confidential. It helps us understand your objectives and assess whether and when a transaction makes sense. It does not start any process.

What size of companies do you work with?

Most often mature, profitable companies in Poland and CEE with EUR 5–50m annual revenue and positive, verifiable EBITDA. Smaller companies are assessed individually, especially where they have a unique market position, high profitability or consolidation potential.

How much does M&A advisory cost?

Fees depend on the scope of the mandate and are agreed individually. For a company sale they typically combine a monthly retainer for running the process, usually credited against the success fee, and a success fee payable only at closing. For acquisition search: a fee for market mapping and owner outreach plus a success fee. A readiness assessment is a fixed-price project.

Do you work on an exclusive basis for sell-side mandates?

We strongly prefer an exclusive mandate. I lead every client personally and with full commitment, and a single, coordinated process protects confidentiality and the owner's negotiating position.

How long does a company sale take?

The process itself — from preparing materials to signing — usually takes 6–12 months, although there are exceptions. Most value, however, can be built earlier: preparation is worth starting 1–3 years before a planned transaction.

How do you protect confidentiality?

Investors first receive an anonymous company profile. Details are shared in stages, only after an NDA is signed and the counterparty is qualified. Communication with employees, customers and suppliers is planned together with the owner.

Who else is involved in the transaction?

I lead the process personally and, as needed, coordinate trusted legal, tax and financial advisers. You have one point of contact responsible for the whole process.

Do you find companies that are not officially for sale?

Yes. We map the market according to the investor's strategy and discreetly approach owners of companies that are not running a sale process — often the most attractive targets.

Which countries and sectors do you cover?

Poland and Central & Eastern Europe. Our deepest experience is in medical, industrial and technical distribution, and in manufacturing and B2B services. I work in Polish, English and Russian.

Do you represent both sides of a transaction?

No. In every transaction we represent one side only — the seller or the buyer — and this is clearly set out in the engagement.
